The laser targets melanin, the pigment found in hair. The light energy is then converted into heat and reaches the follicle, gradually reducing its ability to produce new hair.
What sets Triton apart is the way it delivers this energy. Two wavelengths are used simultaneously during a single pulse, each with different properties.
✔ Duo Light combines 755 and 810 nm wavelengths and is particularly well-suited for lighter skin types.
✔ Duo Dark combines 810 and 1064 nm wavelengths to provide a treatment better suited to darker skin tones and certain types of deeper-rooted or stubborn hair.
In other words, rather than relying on a single wavelength to work for every situation, Triton lets you choose the combination that’s best suited to your skin and hair type.
Two wavelengths that act simultaneously
This is Triton’s key feature. The combination of two wavelengths in a single pulse allows the device to act at different levels of the follicle rather than relying on a single wavelength.
Light, medium, and darker skin tones do not necessarily require the same approach. The various combinations offered by Triton allow the treatment to be tailored to the phototype, providing a more personalized treatment.
Even within a single area, not all hairs are exactly the same: their depth, diameter, and pigmentation can vary. Using two wavelengths allows for a more comprehensive assessment of the hair present.
Over the course of the sessions, hair growth gradually decreases. Any remaining regrowth may also become finer and less noticeable.

However, laser hair removal depends on the presence of pigment in the hair. White, gray, or very light-colored hairs therefore generally respond less well to this type of treatment.

Why are multiple sessions necessary? Because not all hairs are at the same stage of their growth cycle at any given time. Treatments are therefore spaced out to gradually target the follicles when they are most responsive to the laser.
